PREP

Preparation is one of the most important steps to ensure a perfectly even and flawless tan!

Before starting your tan application, make sure to exfoliate to remove any dead skin cells and any old tan. Plus always wax or shave or shave at least 24 hours beforehand.

For exfoliation, we love Bare by Vogue’s Luxury Exfoliating Mitt. This luxury double-sided exfoliating mitt is the perfect accessory to prepare your skin before home tanning. It buffs your skin to remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin clean and smooth. The built-in thumb feature allows for easier movement over the body.

Tan

Now that your skin is beautifully buffed and prepped for your tan application, it’s time to choose your tan!

Choose from Liquid or Mousse, depending on your skin type or desired result.

Lotion: Super nourishing, this tan type is perfect for dry, sensitive and more mature skin types.

Mousse: Mousse formulas are best suited to oily – normal skin types.

At Strala Beauty HQ, we are loving Bellaminata’s Liquid Gold! Liquid Gold is one of Bellamianta’s best sellers and is a light liquid formula that dries in 60 seconds. The quick and easy to apply self tan gives an instant colour on contact and develops in 4-6 hours into a beautiful golden olive tone which will last up to 7 days.

Top Tan Application Tips

  • Ensure your skin is clean and dry.
  • Apply a small amount to your Bellamianta Luxury Velvet Tanning Mitt.
  • Using the mitt, apply in circular motions, starting from the ankles upwards and blend well.
  • For face, hands and feet apply sparingly.

REMOVAL

When it comes to removing your tan, it couldn’t be easier! We love Lusso Tan’s Bath Bombs for easy tan removal.

Relax in a bath filled with essential oil infused water and watch your tan dissolve before your eyes.

The Bath Bomb, has been designed to repair and protect the skin. Avocado Oil is rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids are excellent for moisturising. Lemon Essential Oil’s high vitamin content boosts immunity and rejuvenates dull complexions.
